Whiz wit Cheesesteak is a Philadelphia-based food truck that was founded in 2013 by brothers, Michael and Daniel. Michael and Daniel are both born and raised in Philadelphia. They grew up with a love for cheesesteaks, which influenced their decision to open the business.
The Whiz wit Cheesesteak truck has been serving its signature cheesesteaks since its inception. The brothers have also expanded their menu to include other Philly favorites like hoagies, soft pretzels, and chicken cheesesteaks.

Instructions
- Start with boneless NY Stripe
- Cut off fat part as this won't work with the mandalin
- Set your mandalin to 1/8 size
- Now standing your steak straight up, start cutting pieces of the steak
- Next dice up a whole onion and throw onto your griddle until golden brown
- Add your onions to a bowl and save for later
- Now start with the cheese whiz. I used 1 pack of cheddar cheese
- The trick it so bowl water in a pot under the cheese so you don't burn it
- Hint – put the cheese in the microwave for 15 seconds before (I didn't do this but learned I should have)
- Continue melting to almost liquid form. It took me around 30 minutes
- As that is continuing to melt add your shredded meat to the griddle
- Season with only salt and pepper and good until your liking
- Add back the onions and cheese whiz then lay the bread ontop
- Leave the beard on for 2 minutes and it will get moist from the juices and cheese
- Use your spatula and flip
- Enjoy 🙂
