Pan Seared Duck Breast

Ingredients
  

Duck Breast Seasoning
  • Duck breast 🦆
  • Olive oil 🛢
  • Chili powder 🌶
  • Smoked paprika 🌶
  • Ground cumin
  • Ground pepper 🫑
  • Salt 🧂
Sauce
  • Red wine 🍷
  • Garlic cloves
  • Butter 🧈
  • Soy sauce
  • Honey 🍯
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Canned black cherries 🍒

Method
 

Duck Breast
  1. Start by scoring the fat on the duck breast
  2. Then go back and score opposite direction
  3. Season your duck breast with above ingredients on all sides
  4. Preheat your griddle to 375
  5. Place the duck breast fat side down on griddle for roughly 15 minutes – DO NOT TOUCH IT 🙂 I know you are going to want to
  6. While that is cooking, start your sauce
  7. After 15 minutes, flip the duck over for another 10 minutes
  8. Slice and serve over a bed of white rice
  9. Pour over your sauce and enjoy 🙂
Sauce
  1. Add red wine to your basting skillet
  2. Add garlic cloves, soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, canned black cherries, butter
  3. Bring to a boil and then immediately down to a simmer while the duck continues to cook
