Reuben Sandwich
Equipment
- 1 Griddle
- 1 Cutting Board
- 1 Knife
Ingredients
- 10 pieces Deli sliced pastrimi
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 bread Rye Bread
- ¼ onion Onion
- 1 cup Mayo
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon Paprika
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- Dijon Mustard
Instructions
Thousand Island Dressing
- Dice up your onion as small as possible. It will be a little bit chunky
- Mix together the mayo, ketchup, lemon juice, paprika, salt and onion
- Stir until a nice consistency
- Refrigerate until needed
Sandwich
- Heat your griddle up and add some olive oil
- Sear your pastrimi for roughly 2 minutes per side (nothing crazy
- Add your pastrimi to a bowl and cover in dijon mustard
- Assemble your sandwich by spreading your thousand island dressing on both sides of the bread
- Add your mustard covered pastrimi to your bread
- Add your swiss cheese and make sure cheese is over hanging the sandwich
- Top with mayo
- Add the entire sandwich back to the griddle and close lid for 3 minutes per side
- Once nice and toasted slice in and enjoy 🙂
