Equipment

  • 1 Griddle
  • 1 Cutting Board
  • 1 Knife

Ingredients
  

  • 10 pieces Deli sliced pastrimi
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 bread Rye Bread
  • ¼ onion Onion
  • 1 cup Mayo
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • Dijon Mustard

Instructions
 

Thousand Island Dressing

  • Dice up your onion as small as possible. It will be a little bit chunky
  • Mix together the mayo, ketchup, lemon juice, paprika, salt and onion
  • Stir until a nice consistency
  • Refrigerate until needed

Sandwich

  • Heat your griddle up and add some olive oil
  • Sear your pastrimi for roughly 2 minutes per side (nothing crazy
  • Add your pastrimi to a bowl and cover in dijon mustard
  • Assemble your sandwich by spreading your thousand island dressing on both sides of the bread
  • Add your mustard covered pastrimi to your bread
  • Add your swiss cheese and make sure cheese is over hanging the sandwich
  • Top with mayo
  • Add the entire sandwich back to the griddle and close lid for 3 minutes per side
  • Once nice and toasted slice in and enjoy 🙂
