Pan Seared Duck Breast
Ingredients
Duck Breast Seasoning
- Duck breast 🦆
- Olive oil 🛢
- Chili powder 🌶
- Smoked paprika 🌶
- Ground cumin
- Ground pepper 🫑
- Salt 🧂
Sauce
- Red wine 🍷
- Garlic cloves
- Butter 🧈
- Soy sauce
- Honey 🍯
- Apple cider vinegar
- Canned black cherries 🍒
Instructions
Duck Breast
- Start by scoring the fat on the duck breast
- Then go back and score opposite direction
- Season your duck breast with above ingredients on all sides
- Preheat your griddle to 375
- Place the duck breast fat side down on griddle for roughly 15 minutes – DO NOT TOUCH IT 🙂 I know you are going to want to
- While that is cooking, start your sauce
- After 15 minutes, flip the duck over for another 10 minutes
- Slice and serve over a bed of white rice
- Pour over your sauce and enjoy 🙂
Sauce
- Add red wine to your basting skillet
- Add garlic cloves, soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, canned black cherries, butter
- Bring to a boil and then immediately down to a simmer while the duck continues to cook
