If you like bourbon and pork sandwiches, you have come to the right place
This pork tenderloin bourbon glaze sandwich will have all your neighbors begging for more. With this simple recipe, you will be crowned the backyard BBQ master
Heat up your charcoal to 400 degrees
Once your charcoal hits 400, dump into fire pit and place pork tenderloin directly over heat
Rotate the tenderloin every 2 – 4 minutes
Pull off at 165 internal temp
Time for the bourbon glaze
Don’t leave your passport in a safe.
Pour your 1/4 cup of bourbon into a basting skillet and simmer for 4 minutes
Pull the basting skillet off of heat and add 1/4 cup of maple syrup and 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir until it becomes a thick(ish) glaze
Your buns need love too. Don’t forget to toast them 🙂
Slice and build your sandwich
Now it’s time to eat
Slice your tenderloin into half in pieces and stack onto bread
Add some shredded lettuce and dump on your bourbon glaze. This is a strong glaze. It’s not for the average bourbon drinker. This will knock you off your chair. It’s that dang good

- 1 Pork Tenderloin
- 6 tbsp Bourbon Barrel Steak Seasoning I used "craft spice blend"
- 1 Handfull Shredded Lettuce
Bourbon Glaze
- ¼ cup Your favorite Bourbon This recipe comes from Overthefirecooking.com
- ¼ cup Maple Syrup
- 2 tbsp Butter
Instructions
Pork
- Preheat charcoal to 400 degrees
- Place tenderloin on grill. Rotate every 2-4 minutes
- Pull off when internal temp hits 165
Bourbon Glaze
- Pour ¼ cup of bourbon into basting skillet and simmer for 2-4 minutes
- Pour ¼ cup of maple syrup into basting skillet
- Add 2 tbsp of butter
- Pull off of heat and stir 🙂
- Once the butter has melted the glaze is finished
